Cancer Support

I am the lead Acupuncturist at North London Hospice and also treat patients privately in my clinics, both at Harrow and Northwood.  I have experience in supporting patients with cancer and other life limiting illnesses.

My treatments are fully integrated, combining Chinese |Medicine principles alongside cancer therapy, in order to manage symptoms and increase quality of life.

There are many side-effects of cancer, both from the treatment and the diagnosis itself. The most common symptoms (from Chemotherapy/Radiation therapy/Immunotherapy) I treat are:

    • anxiety
    • insomnia,
    • pain,
    • nausea
    • hot flushes
    • fatigue
    • chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy.

I support the cancer patient in all stages of their journey, from early diagnosis, to treatment, recovery or palliative care. Acupuncture can be a great support alongside your conventional treatment to help you through the physical symptoms and emotional strain of cancer treatment*.

Having acupuncture for cancer care is increasingly supported by scientific trials and research. British Acupuncture Council is the regulating body for acupuncturists in the UK and has a list of research sheets publishing its views on the effectiveness of acupuncture for different conditions.  Their website can give you a general overview and research information on Oncology Acupuncture here.
